George Stanley Halas, Sr., nicknamed “Papa Bear” and “Mr. Everything”, was a player, coach, owner, and pioneer in professional American football. Founder of the Chicago Bears of the National Football League as well as the NFL itself, Halas was also an inventor, radio producer, philanthropist, philatelist and professional major league baseball player. He became one of the first inductees into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
George Halas’ spin on work is a powerfully simple qualifier:
“Nothing is work unless you’d rather be doing something else.”
